What is Open Enrollment?
-
We know that you have many choices in selecting the best education for your child and we thank you for making PUSD your first choice. While every child living within PUSD boundaries is assured placement in their neighborhood school, a different campus might offer a specialized program or focus that better meets the interests and needs of the individual student. PUSD's annual Open Enrollment process offers families an opportunity to apply to attend a school other than their neighborhood school in the next academic year.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is expanding for 2024-25! For the 24-25 school year, TK will expand to include students who turn five by June 2, 2025. With this expansion, TK will be available at all PUSD neighborhood schools, and Spanish immersion TK will expand to two sites (Longfellow and Jackson). Space is limited, so all interested families must apply at pusd.schoolmint.com beginning March 25th to be added to a waitlist for transitional kindergarten (neighborhood schools are not a guarantee).
